Launched in 2018, Somerville Consulting Firm LLC works in partnership with nonprofits, foundations, networks, coalitions, and social impact businesses to improve their efficacy and impact. Andrea Somerville, Principal Consultant and Founder of SCF, is skilled in strategic thinking and planning and founded SCF to help organizations approach their work through a strategic lens. Andrea helps her clients create strategies that bridge the gap between their current programs and operations and their vision for impact. Andrea provides a range of support, including helping organizations develop and refine organizational strategic direction and staffing structure, design and implement fundraising strategies and capital campaigns, support governing boards to be high-functioning, effective partners, succession planning, coaching and advising, and more. Somerville Consulting Firm has worked with leaders and teams across the United States in rural, urban, and suburban settings, of varying sizes and operating budgets, representing a variety of social issues.
Eric Ryan

Eric is a national leader in the field of strategic planning for nonprofits. He is passionate about the catalytic power that practical and effective strategic planning can have on building a nonprofit’s capacity. He is the author of Mission Met: Proven Strategic Planning Guidance to Help You Build a Financially Secure and Impactful Nonprofit. He and his team have created an online strategic planning course and he has led hundreds of nonprofit strategic planning facilitations and consulting engagements. In addition to his consulting work, he has started one nonprofit, been an executive director, and served on several boards as both treasurer and board chair. A graduate of UC Berkeley, he lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wonderful wife, and two hilarious kids. He coaches little league baseball and loves to camp and hike with his family.

I'm the founder of Bluebird + Balance Bookkeeping. But my real education came from 18 years of running my own business. I built a childcare center from scratch, expanded it to 5 locations, and took it from 6 figures in year one to 7 figures by year four. Along the way, I did every job there is to do inside a company — janitor, supply purchaser, bookkeeper, HR, CFO, CEO, and everything in between. I didn't just learn how a business runs. I learned how it runs when you're the one doing all of it.
